We have spent the past couple of weeks in class studying soil because it is an important topic. Why do you think soil is important? What does soil mean to you and the way you live.
I think soil is important because you use soil to grow food. Lots of plants and animals wouldn't be here if it weren't for soil. Lots of food comes from plants and animals. I wouldn't be happy if I didn't have a good hamburger!

I think its important because without soil we wouldn't have plants and plants are a food source and they breathe out oxygen

I think soil is important because that's what plants grow in and it gives the plant all kinds of nutrients.

Soil helps us survive because the plants need soil to survive. If we don't have plants then we wouldn't be alive right now

We use soil everyday to grow crops, make food and live. Without soil then crops couldn't be grown and the world would not have pretty flowers :)

Soil is one of those living things that do not get recognized enough for what they do. Soil means so much to me because you can rely on it, and it won't betray you.

The plants and crops you grow in the soil help you live and instead of gong to the store to buy fruits and vegetables you can grow it fresh in your yard you can also make fruit trees for eating and trees for shade.
